State Police Looking For Getaway Van Last Seen in Somers
State police are looking for a burglar who stole a stash of gift cards from a Stafford restaurant and fled in a vehicle through Somers.

STAFFORD/SOMERS, CT — State police are looking for a burglar who stole a stash of gift cards from a restaurant in Stafford and fled in a vehicle through Somers.
At about 10:30 p.m.on Monday, someone burglarized Basil’s Restaurant in Stafford, state police said.
The thief used "a crow bar type tool," to get in through the front door of the business, state police said.

A tan metal box containing numerous gift cards and cash was taken. An image of the getaway car used in the crime was sent out Tuesday by state police. It was last seen on Route 190, heading west in Somers near the Enfield town line, state police said.
