Woman Who Had Been Missing Near Soapstone Mountain Located

State police on Monday said they have located a woman who was missing in the area of Soapstone Mountain.

ELLINGTON/SOMERS, CT — A woman missing since Saturday in the area of Soapstone Mountain was located Monday, state police said.

She was located at about 3 p.m. and transported to an area hospital for evaluation, state police said. She was located in the woods alive and taken out on a stretcher, state police said.

The extent of any injuries nor what may have happened was not being released Monday afternoon.

State police were using trained dog units and all-terrain vehicles in the area on Monday. Ellington and Somers fire officials were coordinating the search efforts along the trail system, state police said.

Kimberly Kasulis had last been seen in the area of the trail system at Soapstone Mountain Saturday, state police said. She's 45 and is from Somers, state police said.

State police sent an alert out Sunday evening and the search commenced.
