State Police: Woman Slides 53 Feet in Ellington Motorcycle Wipeout

ELLINGTON, CT — A woman slid 53 feet after crashing her brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Crystal Lake Road over the weekend, according to a state police accident report.

Sydney Gagnon, 23, of Merrow Road, Coventry, was operating a Harley FLHXS street bike in the westbound lane of Crystal Lake Road late Saturday afternoon when she wiped out on a curve, state police said.

The bike slid 53 feet on the grass before hitting an embankment, according to a state police accident report.

Gagnon was wearing a helmet, state police said. She was taken to Hartford Hospital with undisclosed injuries, according to a state police accident report.
