Statewide Arts Awards Presented to Ellington, Somers Seniors

ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — Four seniors have been selected from Ellington and Somers high schools to receive Outstanding Arts Awards from the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS). The award is presented annually to two seniors at each CAS member high school who excel in the performing or visual arts. Scholarship and leadership are also supporting criteria in the selection process.

Honorees from Ellington High School are Aidan Caron and Clara Mattson, while Christian Chlebowski and Ashleigh Hesse were recognized from Somers High School.

An awards ceremony scheduled in April was postponed due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
