Student Reportedly Left on School Bus After Falling Asleep: State Police

The student was reportedly on a bus en route to West Stafford School and fell asleep, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — Authorities are investigating a report of a 4-year-old West Stafford School student being left on a bus after falling asleep Thursday, state police said.

The student was recorded as being absent and front office staffers then checked with the child's parents and the bus company, state police said.

The child was located about an hour later asleep on a bus, state police said.

The child was determined to be unharmed after an evaluation, state police said. The student was transported to school and finished the day, state police said.

Troopers, school system officials and officials from M&J bus company are investigating the incident, state police said.
