A sport utility vehicle became entangled in downed wires in Ellington.

ELLINGTON, CT — A sport utility vehicle became tangled in downed wires in a strange weekend accident on a main road through Ellington, state police said.
Details of the April 27 incident on West Road were released Monday.
At 11:05 a.m., a resident of nearby Beancroft Road wass driving a 2012 Hyundai Tuscon south on West Road, just south of the Charter Road intersection, according to a report. State police had no idea how the wires came down, but they became entangled in the undercarriage of the SUV, according to a report.

The right resar corner of the SUV was damaged but no injuries were reported, state police said.
