SUV Hits Plow On Road In Ellington: Report

State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash involving an SUV and a plow.

ELLINGTON, CT — State police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that hit a plow on a disabled truck Sunday night.

The incident took place at 5:37 p.m. on Crystal Lake Road, according to a report.

The truck, a 2005 Ford F550 Super Duty, broke down on the eastbound side of the road, about 150 west of the intersection with Route 30, state police said.

The driver managed to get the truck partially into the eastbound shoulder, but it was still sticking out into the road, according to a report. He activated the hazard lights, according to a report.

The plow in front of the truck was then hit by a dark-colored sport utility vehicle that kept going after the impact and was last seen traveling on Route 30 toward Tolland, according to a report.

The truck driver was not hurt, according to a report.

State police said anyone with any information on the crash can call the state police Troop C barracks at 860-896-3200.
