Teen's Tirade in Somers Leads to Charges: Police

He was found hiding in a camper after the incident, state police said.

SOMERS, CT — A local teen is facing five criminal charges after going on a tirade inside his home and then fleeing the scene, state police said.

The teen is only being identified as a 16-year-old male because of his juvenile status.

The incident took place on March 31, state police said. The teen was arguing with a family member and then began throwing things inside his house, state police said.

The family member called 911 and the boy ran from the home, state police said. He was later found hiding in a camper on the property, state police said.

  • Second-degree criminal mischief
