Ellington Farmers' Market Holds Tomato Festival
Summer is not complete with Home Grown Tomatoes! A wide variety of heirloom tomatoes and tomato products will be featured at the festival
The Ellington Farmers' Market will be hosting a Tomato Festival on Saturday August 24th from 9-12 in Arbor Park, Main St." An abundance of ripe and juicy heirloom tomatoes along with hybrid varieties will be available for purchase along with salsas, hot sauces, marinara sauces and tomato baked goods all made with locally grown tomatoes. Kids can sample tomatoes and receive a $2 token to purchase fresh produce at the Kids Power of Produce Club. John and Heidi Cerrigione will be providing the musical entertainment for the morning. Tomato season is a short one in Connecticut, enjoy them while you can!
