Traffic Light Outage Leads To Crash in Somers: Report
A traffic light not working because of a power outage seems partly to blame for a crash in Somers, a report indicates.

SOMERS, CT — A traffic light not working because of a power outage was partly to blame for a crash that tied up traffic along a major road in Somers on Monday, a state police report indicates.
The crash took place at 2:54 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Route 190 and Ninth District Road, according to a report.
A 2016 Ford Fusion driven by a 63-year-old Somers resident was headed south on Route 190, state police said. With the light out and a tractor-trailer alongside him, the driver tried to get through the intersection, but did not see a 2006 Honda Pilot driven by an 18-year-old Somers resident also crossing and the Fusion hit the Pilot, according to a report.
