Training School Truck Hits Wire in Ellington

A training truck hit a wire in Ellington, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — A truck owned by the New England Tractor Trailer Training School clipped what state police described as a "low-hanging utility wire" on Friday in Ellington.

The incident was at 11:46 a.m. on Friday on the northbound side of Hoffman Road, according to a state police report.

The truck was being driven by a 53-year-old man from Wilbraham, MA, according to a report. A 58-year-old man from Three Rivers, MA, was a passenger, according to a report.

The training school is located in Somers.
