Tri-Town Hockey to Open State Tournament at Home
The tri-op team of players from Ellington, Somers and East Windsor high schools begins Division III state tournament play Monday.

ELLINGTON-SOMERS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Brackets for the state's three boys ice hockey tournaments were released Friday, and Tri-Town will be opening the Division III tournament in front of its home crowd.
The tri-op team of players from Ellington, Somers and East Windsor high schools is seeded third, and will host No. 14 Wilton Monday at the Enfield Twin Rinks at 8:10 p.m.
A total of 14 teams from Patch towns in Hartford and Tolland counties will be competing in the three state tournaments. Here is a complete listing of opening round matchups for those teams; click the division headers for complete brackets.

Division I (Wednesday, 3/7)
- No. 16 East Catholic (0-19-1) at No. 1 Fairfield Prep (17-2-1), 6 p.m.
- No. 10 Simsbury (9-10-1) at No. 7 Northwest Catholic (11-8-1), 6:40 p.m.
