Troop C Log: Driving on a Flat Tire in Ellington

Here's a glance at what transpired out of the state police Troop C barracks over the Presidents Day weekend.

Charges are posted in the Troop C log book and are not indications of guilt.

Feb. 17

ELLINGTON, CT — Andrew Kinghorn, 35, of Ellington, was charged with driving with unsafe tires and driving under the influence at 7:05 p.m., according to an arrest report. State police arrested him after receiving a 911 call about a driver operating a car erratically on a flat tire on Wappingwood Road and Hillside drive, according to an arrest report. He was not able to recall how the tire went flat when questioned by police, according to an arrest report.

TOLLAND, CT — Devin Turner, 29, of Windsor, was charged with speeding, driving under the influence and a lane violation at 1:13 a.m. on Route 195, according to an arrest report. He was found on Route 195 driving erratically, according to an arrest report.

MANSFIELD, CT — An Ellington man wound up with drug charges after being stopped for traveling 101 mph on Route 32, according to an arrest report. David Clavet, 18, was pulled over at 1:40 p.m., and an amount of marijuana "clearly over the infraction amount" was located, according to an arrest report. He was booked for possession of a controlled substance, according to an arrest report.

Feb. 18

WILLINGTON, CT — Matthew O'Reilly, 36, of Willington, was charged with threatening, interfering and disorderly conduct at 7:37 p.m. on Ruby Road, according to an arrest report. He is accused to threatening someone with a knife during a domestic incident, according to an arrest report.

Feb. 19

TOLLAND, CT — Mohamed Abodi, 36, of West Hartford, was charged with driving under the influence and a lane violation after being stopped on Interstate-84 westbound just prior to Exit 67, according to an arrest report. He has made several erratic lane changes that drew the attention of a trooper, according to an arrest report.
