Troop C Serving Up Some Grub for Special Olympics

ELLINGTON- State police from the Troop C barracks are putting their aprons on for the Special Olympics in a "Tip-a-Cop" event later this month. 

The event is scheduled for Thursday, June 30, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Hidden Still, 87 West Road, Ellington. 

During the event, troopers will assist restaurant staff in taking orders and serving meals. 

At the end of the night, all tips the officers receive for their efforts will go to Special Olympics Connecticut to support its year-round sports, health and fitness programs for athletes of all abilities.
