Troop C Weekend Blotter — Arrests Ending Nov. 3

A lane violation resulted in drug charges.

Arrest information is furnished by the state police Troop C barracks in Tolland and does not indicate a conviction. 

Here are the weekend cases: 

Willington

Nov. 1

State police are investigating the theft of copper wire from a cell tower site at 47 Turnpike Rd.

The larceny took place Between Oct. 8 and Oct. 31, state police said. 

Mansfield 

Nov. 1

Noah King, a 30-year-old resident of 6 Deerfield Dr., Ashford, was charged with traveling at an unreasonable speed and DUI after a traffic stop on Mansfield City Road, state police said. 

He was stopped at 12:19 a.m., and failed a series of field sobriety tests, state police said. 

Nov. 3

At about 1:30 a.m., someone attempted to enter a home on Foster Drive through the front door, state police said.

Somers

Letitia Young, a 28-year-old Hartford resident, was charged with DUI, a registration violation and a license plate violation at 3:32 a.m. on Route 190, state police said. 

During the course of a traffic stop, she failed as series of field sobriety  tests, state police said. 

Ellington

Nov. 3

At 2:45 a.m., a car was stopped for a lane violation on Route 286, state police said. 

State police said drugs were located inside the vehicle - cocaine on the driver and pain medication on the passenger. 

Adam O'Connor, 24, of Middletown - the passenger - was charged with a a narcotics container violation, possession of narcotics and possession of less than 1 ounce of cannabis, state police said. 

The driver, 24-year-old Scott Barber, was charged with failure to drive right, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to use, state police said.
