Truck Fire Spreads to Front of Crystal Lake Home

ELLINGTON, CT — A truck caught fire and the blaze spread to a home near Crystal Lake early Thursday morning, police said.

The fire at 18 Private Grounds Road in Ellington broke out at 3:40 a.m., officials from the Crystal Lake Fire Department said. The fire was contained to the front part of the home, fire officials said.

The fire was put out in minutes, fire officials said.

The residents — including two dogs, were able to get out of the home safely, authorities said.
