Vigil Planned for Thursday to Honor Ellington Mom Slain A Year Ago

ELLINGTON, CT — A vigil has been planned for Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to remember Connie Dabate, the Ellington mom who died one year ago Friday in what state police are calling a homicide.

The vigil is planned for Arbor Park. Details on the efforts to remember Dabate can be found on the Facebook page Justice for Connie.

State Police continue to work on piecing together just what happened to Connie Dabate two days before Christmas.

The case of her death is still being investigated, state police have said.

Dabate, a local mom, was found dead inside her home after an apparent home invasion just two days before last Christmas. Her husband was treated for minor injuries. Dabate's death was ruled a homicide shortly after, state police said.
