Visions For Vacancies: Somers

SOMERS, CT — Periodically, Ellington-Somers Patch will highlight a vacant commercial property and ask you to tell us what you think would be the best use for it. Forget what zone it's in, ignore setback regulations, dump lot coverage rules and all the other zoning jargon that puts most people to sleep. If you had your way, what would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

Today we are featuring space on the west edge of a small 3-unit plaza at 629 Main Street, adjacent to Sue's Shirt Creations. Until last year, the spot was home for a number of years to a DB Mart.
