The proposal wold have upped the ante from $7,500 to $25,000 before a purchase or contract had to be bid. The votes were: <ul><li>Yes 1,349</li><li>No 1,420</li></ul>Town officials said they did not think a recount was in order, but added the town's legal staff is examining the result. Patch File Photo
