Weekend Weather For Ellington and Somers: Stormy Start, Sunny Later But Turning Much Colder

Weβll see rain chances both Friday and Saturday and the good news is itβs dry on Sunday but itβs also a lot colder too on Sunday and Monday.
Sunday evening, temps could dip below 40 degrees for parts of Connecticut. And a look at next weekβs forecast shows several days of rain possible starting in the middle of the week.

The latest National Weather Service forecast:
Friday: Showers and thunderstorms begin in the afternoon, fog is expected too. Temps will be in the mid 60s on the coast and near 70 inland. A half inch of rain is expected and the showers will end before midnight.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with temps in the low 70s. Some showers are likely after 3 p.m. and can continue off and on until late Saturday.
Saturday night: Temps are around 50 degrees.
Sunday: Sunshine, but much colder as temps arenβt forecast to exceed 60 degrees. It will also be windy with gusts in excess of 25 mph likely.
Sunday night: Cold, temps near 40 degrees.
Monday: Colder, sunshine, and highs only in the upper 50s.
Tuesday: Warmer, sunshine and temps in the mid 60s.
Tuesday night through Thursday: Cloudy with showers possible each day.
