Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eighteen Eastern Connecticut State University business administration students traveled to Rome and Perugia, Italy, from May 22 to June 3 to study international business. Among the students was Madison Renaud of Somers, who majors in Communication. Prior to the trip, Professor Emiliano Villanueva led the class "International Business in an International Setting," where students researched a range of topics related to business in Italy. Upon their return, students submitted in-depth, 20-page reports reflecting on their experiences in Italy. Topics spanned the geography, history and culture of Italy, as well as Italian politics, business etiquette and economic opportunities.

Luther College, Decorah IA

• Helen Roets, a Luther College sophomore from Ellington, has been named to the 2019 spring semester Dean's List. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must complete at least 12 credit hours with 10 hours of conventional grades (A, B, C, D).

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

• Janine Bushey of Somers was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2019 spring semester. Bushey is in the graphic design program.
