At its annual meeting on October 16, the Rockville General Hospital Auxiliary granted “wishes” to 15 hospital departments, including Woodlake at Tolland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The total amount gifted was $43,450. The Auxiliary’s donation will make possible the purchase of small medical equipment, office equipment, and other needed items. Funds were raised through annual membership dues and proceeds from the Auxiliary’s two gift shops (RGH & Woodlake) and fundraisers, including “Bountiful Baskets & Teacup Raffle, bake sale, trips, and Light of Life Tree lighting ceremony and community carol sing, which is scheduled for Monday, December 2, at 7 p.m. in front of the hospital. The public is invited to attend.
Also at the annual meeting, the Auxiliary elected officers for 2013-2014. They are: Joyce Jordan, President; Joan Duell, 1st Vice President; Susan Mason, 2nd Vice President; Roberta Mulligan, Recording Secretary; Johnna Janiak, Corresponding Secretary; Sharon Giguere, Auxiliary Treasurer; Ann Williams, Gift Shop Treasurer; Irene Tutko, Assistant Treasurer, and Joyce Sepulveda, Nominating Chairperson.
