Workman Accused Of Attempting To Steal Firearms From Ellington Home
A man hired to work on a home project was charged with attempting to steal two firearms from a bedroom, according to state police.

ELLINGTON, CT — A Massachusetts man performing air duct and vent cleaning inside an Ellington home Friday has been accused of attempting to steal two firearms from a bedroom.
Adrian Thomas, 24, of Springfield, was charged with two counts of stealing a firearm, criminal attempt to commit fifth-degree larceny and criminal possession of a firearm. Bond was set at $25,000, state police said.
According to a police report, Thomas and another person were working at a Ridge Drive home when the owner called police to report a pair of firearms missing from a bedroom. The duo had been working for about three and a half hours.

The firearms were later found hidden in a basement area where Thomas and his colleague had been working. Thomas was identified as the primary suspect because he had been the only one who had accessed the bedroom where the weapons had been stored, police said.
Thomas was slated to appear Monday in Rockville Superior Court.
