Yard Goats Night Will Put Ellington School's Chorus In Spotlight

The school's chorus is set to sing the national anthem before the April 30 game in Hartford.

ELLINGTON, CT — Crystal Lake Elementary School families have a chance to turn a Hartford Yard Goats game into a school community night next month, with one big moment set to put students in the spotlight.

The Crystal Lake School PTO is inviting families, friends and supporters to attend Crystal Lake School Night at Dunkin’ Park on Thursday, April 30, when the school’s chorus will sing the national anthem before the game.

The Yard Goats are scheduled to face the Reading Fightin Phils at 7:10 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.

According to the PTO, tickets are $17 each, and organizers are encouraging the school community to “pack the stands” and cheer on the student singers.

The event is being promoted as a chance for Crystal Lake families to spend an evening together at the ballpark while supporting the chorus students performing on the field.

Ticket orders are due by April 10, and the flyer says availability is limited.
