4 Arrested In Enfield Narcotics Bust

Police executed a pair of search warrants Wednesday, resulting in four arrests.

ENFIELD, CT — A lengthy investigation into possible narcotics distribution at a pair of Wallace Street residences resulted in execution of a pair of search warrants and the arrest of four people Wednesday, according to Enfield police.

Members of the Enfield Police Department and the DEA Task Force conducted the investigation of 10-A Wallace St. and 13 Wallace St., and made entry into both locations with assistance from the CREST (Capitol Region Emergency Services Team) and the DEA SRT (Special Response Team), police said.

During the search, crack and cocaine, distribution materials and an unlawfully possessed loaded firearm were seized. A large sum of money, believed to be proceeds from narcotic sales, was also found, police said.

  • Ira Smith, 24, of 10-A Wallace St., was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, altered serial number on a firearm, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $100,000.
  • Shavar Walker, 32, of 10-A Wallace St., was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $50,000.
  • Carmen Delgado, 34, of 13 Wallace St., was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell. Bond was set at $25,000.
  • William Arroyo, 48, of 13 Wallace St., was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell. Bond was set at $25,000.

Lt. Willie Pedemonti said all four were still in custody, and are scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
