ENFIELD, CT — The Enfield Community Fund, administered by the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation, is accepting grant applications for projects aimed at strengthening wellbeing, vibrancy and resilience in Enfield.
Applications opened April 24 and must be submitted by June 15 at 11:59 p.m., according to the foundation.
Full details, including funding priorities and eligibility requirements, are available through the fund’s online request for proposals.
The Enfield Community Fund Committee, a volunteer group of town residents, reviews applications and recommends awards.
The committee identifies community needs and helps set funding priorities for projects designed to improve the quality of life in Enfield.
In its most recent grant cycle, the fund awarded more than $58,000 to 13 local organizations.
Individual grants ranged from $2,000 to $5,000 and supported programs focused on expanding access to services and strengthening community connections.
The Enfield fund is part of a broader initiative launched in 2019 by the foundation to establish community funds in each of the 29 towns it serves.
Since then, the program has distributed more than 1,000 grants totaling over $4 million through the end of 2025.
Initial funding included a $100,000 investment per town, with additional contributions in 2021 and 2025 supporting both immediate grantmaking and long-term endowment growth.
The foundation—formerly known as the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving—supports regional initiatives through funding, partnerships, and community engagement, with a focus on addressing economic and social disparities.
Additional information about the Enfield Community Fund and the application process is available through the foundation.
