ENFIELD, CT — Enfield police will conduct a DUI checkpoint Friday night on Route 220.
The checkpoint is scheduled from 7 p.m. Friday, May 22, to 2 a.m. Saturday, May 23, on Elm Street near Palomba Drive, according to the Enfield Police Department.
Police said the announcement is being made as required by court rulings.
The department said the goal is to keep roads safe and urged drivers to plan ahead, drive sober and avoid getting behind the wheel after drinking.
