ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield resident's visit to a local store this week proved quite profitable.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the resident purchased a 20X Cash 10th Edition scratch-off card on Wednesday, July 22, and won the maximum payout.

The total financial haul, according to lottery officials, was $20,000, not a bad investment for a game that cost $20 to play.

The winning ticket was purchased locally at the Enfield Food Mart, located at 935 Enfield St.
