Assistant Town Manager Steve Bielenda said the town had appointed Strategic Government Resources, or SGR, to help recruit its next manager. The firm's contract was reviewed by the town attorney and signed, according to official minutes from the July 13 Town Council meeting.

Bielenda said he would serve as the town's liaison to the recruiter, who was expected to meet with councilors and department directors and send a questionnaire to help shape Enfield's recruitment effort.

During councilor communications later in the meeting, Councilor Marie Pyznar said it was Coppler's "last formal meeting" with the council and wished him success in his "new adventure." Other councilors also thanked Coppler for his work. The minutes did not identify his next role or state a departure date.

Applications for the position are being accepted through Sept. 4. Candidates can find the job listing and position-profile brochure through Government Resource's recruitment page.
