2 Found Dead Inside Enfield Home, Police Say

Police said two people were found dead at the Foxhill Lane home.

ENFIELD, CT — A man and woman were found dead Tuesday inside an Enfield home, police said.

Officers were called to 148 Foxhill Lane for a report of an unresponsive man, according to Enfield Police Chief Alaric J. Fox. They found both people lying on the floor of a living room that had been converted into a makeshift bedroom.

The 48-year-old man and 43-year-old woman lived at the home. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police found no obvious signs of trauma. Fox said investigators found evidence of heavy alcohol consumption and a large quantity of prescription medication, but police have not said whether either played a role in the deaths.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded and took both bodies to its facility for examination. Police are withholding their identities while the investigation continues.

"At this time, there are no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances surrounding this incident," Fox said.
