The long-running dispute centers on a growing pile of sand and casting materials behind the foundry and nonoperational reclamation equipment, with the matter still under review by local land-use boards.
3. Paris Baguette plans new Connecticut bakery cafe in Enfield (middletownpress.com) — Enfield is getting a new Paris Baguette bakery cafe, with town economic development officials confirming permits are in place and work on the space has begun. While an opening date isn't set, residents can look forward to French- and Korean-inspired breads, pastries, cakes, and coffee as the fast-growing chain expands its Connecticut footprint.

Connecticut high school girls volleyball top performances, games to watch (Sept. 16) (stamfordadvocate.com) — Enfield High's girls volleyball team is spotlighted as the opponent in a 3-0 Bristol Central win, where hitter Emalyn Kirk piled up 18 kills and 14 digs.
