Enfield Mitten Drive Seeks Winter Gear For Local Students

ENFIELD, CT — Enfield for Education is bringing back its Warm Hearts, Warm Hands Mitten Drive for a second year, collecting winter gear for local students who need it.

The group is asking for new or newly handmade mittens, gloves, hats and scarves. The items will be distributed to Enfield students from preschool through high school to help keep them warm during recess and after school.

Donations can be dropped off at Central Library, the Enfield Senior Center, the Elks, CT State Asnuntuck, Powder Hollow Brewery, Gary Rome Kia and LIA Nissan.

Enfield for Education will collect the donations from those locations on Friday, Nov. 6. The group said donations of any size are welcome.
