ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield man died after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 South in Windsor Thursday afternoon, according to a Connecticut State Police report provided to Patch.
Police identified the driver as Matthew W. Bennett, 44. Windsor EMS took him to Hartford Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The crash happened around 5:11 p.m. between the Exit 36 entrance and exit ramps.
Bennett was driving a 2003 Honda CR-V south when it made contact with a 2022 Mazda CX-5 traveling in the same direction, police said. Investigators have not determined why the vehicles made contact.

The Honda then struck a metal guardrail and rolled across the highway before coming to rest on the left shoulder, according to the report.
Police said Bennett was not wearing a seat belt. The Mazda's driver, a 72-year-old Durham man, and his passenger, a 69-year-old Durham woman, were wearing seat belts and reported no injuries.
"This is an active and ongoing case," state police said in the report.
