ENFIELD, CT — No one could have asked for better conditions - weather and otherwise - than Enfield got Tuesday evening during the annual National Night Out event, coordinated by the Enfield Police Department.
With temperatures in the 70s under clear sunny skies, hundreds of residents flocked to Higgins Park and the town hall parking lot, where camaraderie between first responders, municipal employees, civic organizations and the community at-large was on full display.
Established in 1984 in a suburb of Philadelphia, the community-building campaign promotes police and community partnerships. Families came out to interact with police, firefighters, emergency personnel and dozens of community groups, while perusing offerings from local vendors or sampling tasty goods from several food trucks. The event concluded with a blistering concert performance by local rocker Sage King.
