Arrest Made In Enfield House Arson Investigation

An Enfield resident has been charged with first-degree arson in connection with a Jan. 24 house fire.

ENFIELD, CT — Enfield police have arrested a local man in connection with an arson fire at a Montano Road house in late January.

Christopher Colbert, 40, of 37 Litchfield Drive, was charged Tuesday on a total of nine arrest warrants. One of the warrants, charging him with first-degree arson, was in relation to a fire at 30 Montano Road which occurred Jan. 24.

Colbert was also charged with two counts of first-degree failure to appear, five counts of second-degree failure to appear, evading responsibility, tampering with evidence and improper use of a marker plate.

Bonds on all of his charges totaled $805,000, and he was slated to be arraigned Tuesday in Hartford Superior Court.
