Bail Reduction Denied for Teen Arson Suspect

Hazardville arson suspect Davidson Izzo will remain jailed for the moment, as a judge denied his attorney’s request for a lower bond amount, the Hartford Courant reported.
Hartford Superior Court Judge Carl Taylor reviewed documents presented by Izzo’s attorney, James Hardy, then denied the reduction request.

Izzo is currently being held on bonds totaling $790,000 in connection with his arrest on five counts of first-degree arson.
The string of fires, all within yards of Izzo’s Elm Street home, began in Aug. 2014. Since that time, at least eight blazes have been determined to have been intentionally set in the neighborhood.

Izzo was arrested in early March and charged with setting five of the fires. The others remain under investigation.
