ENFIELD, CT — Police are searching for a man who stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the M&T Bank on Route 5 Monday afternoon.

Around 2:55 p.m., police were notified of a robbery at the bank branch at 855 Enfield Street, diagonally across from Enfield Town Hall. Bank employees said a man entered the building and showed a note demanding money, then fled on foot, Chief Alaric Fox said.

No further information was immediately available.
