ENFIELD, CT — A pair of new Big Y Express fuel and convenience locations are slated to open in northern Connecticut in mid-July, including one in the center of Hazardville.
The current SmartFuel station at 241 Hazard Avenue will become a Big Y Express as of July 15. The other new site scheduled to open the same day is on Route 190 in the center of Somers. The new locations will increase the number of Express stores in Connecticut to six.
According to a news release regarding the expansion, Big Y Express locations contain eight pumping positions each, with 87, 89 and 93 octane fuel and diesel. A free air machine is available for tire inflation. Additional amenities include their signature Wide Awake bean-to-cup always fresh coffee, as well as quick grab and go staples like milk, cold drinks and snacks.
