ENFIELD, CT — Enfield police issued an advisory to residents on their Facebook page Tuesday morning after a black bear was spotted in the area of Taylor and Moody roads.

Police said the bear was wandering in the area before moving into a wood line. A local daycare center was notified as a precaution.

"While black bears are solitary animals, they manage to find their way to food. It’s always a good idea to keep trash in a garage or storage unit to prevent a furry creature like this one from ending up in your front lawn," police said.
