On Friday, March 13, 2026 @ 7:00, The No Cover Café will feature performances from outstanding Connecticut artists Lara Herscovitch, Bill Dempsey, and Joe Mercurio on the Main Stage. The Emerging Artist stage will feature Mary Mercik during the first intermission.
On The Main Stage
Lara Herscovitch: A singer-songwriter-poet-performer gem, Lara was described in The Boston Globe as "a luminous voice and a buoyant stage presence... big-hearted lyrics embrace the sum of life... Herscovitch's music blows on the embers of a lagging spirit..." Sound Waves Magazine calls her music "expertly written prose... songwriting at its best... good for your ears AND your soul." Acoustic Live in NYC adds, "She possesses not only a huge reservoir of musical talent and a voice with a bell-like clarity, but a keen sense of global concern and a fierce intellect... It might seem too good to be true, but true it is."
Bill Dempsey is a singer/songwriter and award-winning storyteller out of Stamford, Connecticut. His lyrically driven original music is heavily inspired by the quiet days and restless nights he spent growing up in the Northeast hills of Connecticut listening to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Otis Redding, REM and countless others.
Joe Mercurio's songs are packed with powerful, emotive lyrics and it’s hard to believe Joe is still in his teens. Even though he’s the new guy on the block, he has a bright future.
On The Emerging Artist Stage
Mary Mercik sings and plays an eclectic assortment of acoustic Guitar covers of rock and pop songs from the 70's to today. She plays the music she loves, and she thinks you'll like it too!
