No Cover Cafe Concert Series

Event Details

330 Hazard Ave, Enfield, CT, 06082

On Friday, April 10, 2026 @ 7:00, The No Cover Café will feature performances from outstanding local recording artists Frank Finik, Jeff Przech, and Horizon Blue on the Main Stage. The Emerging Artist stage will feature Olivia Mattos during the first intermission. There will also be a poetry reading by Lori Bouchard.

On The Main Stage

As a singer and songwriter, Frank Finik has always loved music and its ability to touch people's hearts. Over the years, he has developed his own unique style of music that blends traditional twangy country, rock, blues, and garage grunge elements. Frank's lyrics come from a deep rural imagination that tells stories of everyday struggles, joys, heartaches, jubilation, and self-reflection, sung from the perspective of multiple characters, both real and fictional, and … 110% human spirit that is easily connectable to the listener. Frank regularly performs solo and with his popular band, The Free Range Humans.

Jeff Przech’s songs rely on narrative writing and soulful, emotive vocals. His songwriting has been recognized both regionally and nationally. In 2024, Jeff's song "Helena" received an Honorable Mention in the Planet Bluegrass Telluride Songwriter Showcase. In 2023, “Maribelle,” from the Outfit record, was chosen for the Essential Western New England Songbook, which the curators call a “listenable juried anthology of 200 of the best songs ever written by artists who’ve lived in Western New England and whose careers have a significant connection to the area. Jeff's song “Eden,” from his record Sounds Like Fresh, was featured in the ABC drama Big Sky and "Helena" in CW's The Wranglers. Jeff is endorsed by Godin Guitars.

Horizon Blue features the songs by award-winning, international singer/songwriter Monique Hill. The songs are heartfelt, melodic, thoughtful, sincere, and tell stories of everyday life. The band captures the essence of California folk/country music. Their music is a harmonic, eclectic blend with lush, acoustic arrangements.  Horizon Blue’s sound features a variety of unique instruments, including: lap steel guitar, resophonic guitar, mountain dulcimer, banjo, McNally “Strum Stick”, and handcrafted Connecticut-made Ovation guitars.

On The Emerging Artist Stage

Olivia Mattos performs old folk rock, country rock, and other hippy standards. She accompanies herself on piano. She has an unusual penchant and passion for harmony. Unfortunately, this evening, she is a solo act. Her voice has been likened to Annie Haslam and Alanis Morissette, but often performs in the "male" range.
