Car Careens Off Highway, Crashes on Oliver Road in Enfield
Police were forced to close part of the highway on Monday.
ENFIELD, CT — A car traveling on Interstate-91 northbound careened off the highway and landed on Oliver Road Monday afternoon, police said.
The accident took place at around 3 p.m. and at least one lane of the highway was closed, deputy police chief Gary Collins said.
One person was trapped and another was received medical attention at the scene, Collins said.

Traffic was backed up to at least exit 46. Cars were exiting the highway and jamming up Route 5.
A supervisor at the scene said the car went airborne, jumped the guardrail and plummeted down an embankment.
