Child Pornography Charges Filed Against Enfield Resident
More than 140 videos were discovered on a man's cell phone, depicting pornography involving children as young as 6 months old.

ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield resident turned himself in at police headquarters Thursday afternoon after learning of a warrant for his arrest on charges of possessing child pornography.
Elinilton DeOliveira, 27, was charged with first-degree illegal possession of child pornography, and was held on a $75,000 cash bond. He was slated to be arraigned Friday, Police Chief Alaric Fox said.
In June 2021, Enfield police received a tip from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children. An IP address revealed during an investigation yielded two pornographic images of girls appearing to be between the ages of 2 and 4, Fox said.

A search warrant was obtained for a house in the Green Manorville section of Enfield. In the course of questioning several people at the house, DeOliveira acknowledged he was the person of interest, and told police he visits adult websites. His cell phone was seized, Fox said.
A second search warrant was obtained for the phone, where investigators found 4,693 images, of which 27 appeared to be pornography involving children ranging from 6 months to 13 years. An additional 258 videos were found on the phone, with 144 of them containing footage of children in that same age range, Fox said.
