Collection For Domestic Violence Victims In Enfield

The drive will be held at Stop & Shop on Hazard Avenue in Enfield.

ENFIELD, CT — A local lawmaker is asking residents to help support people affected by domestic violence.

State Rep. Carol Hall, R-Enfield, will hold a safehouse and personal care item collection from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Stop & Shop, 54 Hazard Ave.

Items collected will be donated to The Network Against Domestic Abuse Inc., a local nonprofit organization in Enfield that provides free counseling, court advocacy services and a safe residence for victims and their children.

Requested items include soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, cleaning supplies and gift cards.

Residents may drop off donations during the two-hour collection at Stop & Shop.
