Commercial-Industrial Market Improving in Enfield

A number of large business properties have been purchased or leased in recent months.

ENFIELD, CT — The glut of vacant commercial and industrial locations in Enfield is rapidly decreasing, according to BusinessWest.com.

Among the recent business activity in town:

  • The former Hallmark Cards distribution center on Bacon Road was recently sold, and the new owner plans to have a Fortune 500 company operating at the site by year's end;
  • The long-vacant Hallmark plant on Manning Road is now occupied by Ashley Furniture and Namco Pool Supply;
  • Namco's former location at 1551 King Street has been purchased by Secure Energy Additions;
  • The former Parker-Hannifin Corp. property at 80 Shaker Road sold in late August for just over $2 million;
  • All-Phase Electric Supply, CED Greentech and A.H. Harris & Sons Construction Supply have joined United Laboratories in the former Bernie's/Pace building at 1559 King Street.
