Community Tag Sale Planned Across Enfield This Spring

Organizers say the event has helped provide more than 100,000 meals to Enfield families since it began in 2011.

ENFIELD, CT — Residents who want to clean out their closets and help support a local cause can now sign up for the 2026 Enfield Town-Wide Tag Sale.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine.

Organized by the Parent Leadership Association, the annual town-wide sale invites residents across Enfield to host tag sales at their homes while shoppers use a community map to visit multiple locations throughout town.

To participate, residents must make a $26.26 donation to the Enfield Food Shelf. The donation includes an official yard sign and placement of the tag sale address on the event’s official map. Organizers say participation will be limited to the first 100 paid registrations.

Online payments must be submitted by April 25 through the registration link, while checks must be postmarked by April 4.

Maps for the town-wide sale will be released May 11 and shared on social media. A limited number of printed maps will also be available at the Enfield libraries, Angelina’s Restaurant, Allied’s Attic, and the North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce.

According to organizers, signs will be placed at participating homes and nearby intersections before the event to help guide shoppers.

All proceeds from the registration donations go directly to the Enfield Food Shelf, a volunteer-run nonprofit that provides food assistance to families in the community. Organizers say the event has hosted more than 1,000 tag sales since it began in 2011 and has helped provide over 100,000 meals to Enfield residents.
