Convenience Store Robbed, Clerk's Car Stolen On Enfield Street
Cartons of cigarettes and a store clerk's car were stolen in the Thursday morning heist, according to police.

ENFIELD, CT — A Route 5 convenience store was robbed Thursday morning, with a man and woman taking cartons of cigarettes and the attendant's car, according to police.
During the robbery at the Smoke 'n Munch store at 397 Enfield Street, around 9:27 a.m. a woman began stealing cartons of cigarettes. When the attendant attempted to intervene, a man entered the store and instructed the attendant to let the woman continue, Police Chief Alaric Fox said.
During the course of the incident, the bandits took the attendant’s car keys, then fled the store. The man drove the car in which the pair had arrived, and the woman took and drove the attendant’s car, Fox said.

No weapons were shown during the robbery, and no injuries resulted.
