CT Coronavirus: 1,000 New Cases, Town-By-Town Numbers Released
Coronavirus cases in Connecticut are quickly approaching 9,000 and deaths rose to 335.
CONNECTICUT — Coronavirus cases in Connecticut increased Thursday by 1,000 over a 24-hour period and now has reached 8,781 cases. Connecticut officials also reported an additional 58 deaths over the past day, bringing the death toll to 335.
Hospitalizations increased by 110, bringing the total to 1,418. Thus far 31,700 people have been tested, including 2,664 over the past day.

- Fairfield County: 4,417 cases, 155 deaths
- Hartford County: 1,290 cases, 68 deaths
- Litchfield County: 292 cases, 12 deaths
- Middlesex County: 174 cases, 9 deaths
- New Haven County: 1,945 cases, 70 deaths
- New London County: 120 cases, 5 deaths
- Tolland County: 128 cases, 13 deaths
- Windham County: 49 cases, 1 death
- Pending address validation: 366 cases, 2 deaths
Of the 335 deaths, 179 were people over the age of 80; 80 were between 70 and 79; 47 were between 60 and 69; 16 were between 50 and 59; nine were between 40 and 49; two were between 30 and 39; one was between 20 and 29; and one was a newborn. Thus far 197 men and 136 women have died.

Nursing home data
Among 215 nursing homes in Connecticut, 83 (39 percent) have had at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. A total of 660 nursing home residents with COVID-19 have been identified. Of those, 188 (28 percent) were hospitalized and 99 (15) have died.
