CTWorks Enfield Career Center Moves to New Location

The Enfield CTWorks Career Center has moved from 620 Enfield Street to 786 Enfield Street, and is now open for job seekers and businesses. 

The new space, located behind the Subway sandwich shop, includes staff from Capital Workforce Partners’ contracted Career Agents and Job Developers, as well as Connecticut Department of Labor staff.

This new location will feature an “open environment” for individuals to seek job opportunities, identify training options and find career solutions, with facilitation and guidance from staff in the Center.

“We have designed this new environment to assist our customers in a better way – providing ongoing access to staff members who will no longer be tucked away in private work areas,” said Thomas Phillips, President and CEO of Capital Workforce Partners.

The Enfield office will continue to provide the same professional services to jobseekers and the business community that they have been receiving. The floor plan is designed to increase the level of customer and Career Center staff interaction through workshop offerings, facilitated assistance at work stations and individualized assistance.

Jobseekers can continue to access the self-service resource center to sign-up for workshops, explore job postings access the Internet for employment searches and get assistance with their resume and interviewing skills. In addition, more “online” training options will be available at the new center, enabling individuals to increase their skill sets and job readiness in a facilitated, or self-paced environment. Career counselors and Veterans’ services staff from Connecticut Department of Labor are available to assist in résumé development and other employment-related assistance.
