Dead Baby Found At Motel 6 In Enfield: Police

ENFIELD, CT — Emergency personnel responding to a report of a "fall" at the Motel 6 on Route 190 late Tuesday morning instead found a dead baby, according to police.

At 10:58 a.m., police, fire and EMS were dispatched to the motel for what was initially described as a medical call. At the scene, investigators located the dead baby, believed to be pre-term, police said.

Enfield police and personnel from the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad remain at the scene investigating the incident. The circumstances of the death remain under review, police said.
